Seed production and smallholder farmers
January 2023 in Wageningen
In this course, participants worked on six real cases of PPB and seed production. The documentation on these cases was prepared beforehand by resource persons who were involved in these cases in the field and participated in the course. Participants analysed the cases, identified bottlenecks and formulated recommendations. The six cases were or were part of the Oxfam-Novib led program SD-HS:
- Nepal
- Mali
- Zambia
- Vietnam
- China
- Uganda

Seed systems of opportunity crops
March 2025 in Uganda with on-line preparatory seminars
The course participants followed lectures and engaged in discussions to prepare for field visits. Split over two sites in Uganda, Mbarare in the west and Soriti in the east of the country, the participants explored and analysed the Community-led Seed Banks and associated activities. On return they shared experiences, and revisited the research questions they had formulated before leaving for the field.
